AVEVA™ Recipe Management

Configure Propagate Status

  • Last UpdatedMay 16, 2024
  • 1 minute read

You can use the Propagate Status option to specify whether the Equipment's Capabilities can propagate some of their statuses up to the controlling Recipe during runtime. By default, Propagate Status for a new Equipment is No. You can configure Propagate Status only when the Equipment is checked out.

When Propagate Status is set to No, various Recipe status changes are always pushed down to all the active Capabilities during execution. When Propagate Status is set to Yes, the preceding is still true, but also various Capability status changes will be propagated to the controlling Recipe, which will then push them back down to all the other active Capabilities. For more information, see the Propagating Recipe/Capability Status.

NOTE: The Propagate Status option in the Equipment Details page is available only if you are using a Professional Edition of AVEVA Recipe Management. Also, you must have an Edit Equipment permission to set the propagate status.

To configure Propagate Status for Equipment

  1. Open the Equipment Details page.

  2. Click Propagate Status. The Set Propagate Status dialog box appears.

  3. Select Yes in the Propagate Status list.

  4. Click Set.
