Equipment Variable

You can use Variables to represent conditions associated with Equipment during Recipe execution. Variables are evaluated as part of expressions defined in Transitions in the procedure. For more information, see the Transitions section.

Variables are defined in the scope of Equipment. A Variable has a name and an IO Reference. You can define multiple Variables for Equipment. No data type is explicitly associated with a Variable. Variables get their data type from the IO Reference point to which they are mapped.

NOTE: The Equipment Variable tab is available only when you are using the AVEVA Recipe Management Professional Edition.

Within Equipment, all Variables must have a unique name and these variable names cannot be a keyword such as AND, OR, and NOT. Apart from these, you should also avoid the following operator name: MOD, SHL, and SHR.

You can import and export Variables to/from an Equipment (CSV file).
