Using User Account Control (UAC) Enabled Operating Systems with AVEVA Recipe Management

When User Access Control is enabled on your Windows operating system, a security prompt is shown when you start the installation.

If necessary, enter the administrative user credentials to allow the installer to proceed.

Installing AVEVA Recipe Management

You must be logged on to the computer as a user with administrative privileges to install AVEVA Recipe Management.

Note:
- The PCS - Service Repository feature is not a pre-requisite for installing Server Components and Components for ArchestrA IDE.
- To configure AVEVA Recipe Management in Standalone mode, make sure to select the PCS - Service Repository feature in the Installation Wizard.

To install AVEVA Recipe Management features

  1. Browse to the CD-RecipeManagement folder and run Setup.exe. The AVEVA Recipe Management Installation Wizard starts.

  2. The installation program detects and installs the initial system requirements. For more information on specific system requirements, see the AVEVA Recipe Management Readme.

  3. Click Yes to install the system-specific prerequisites. After installing the initial system requirements, the License Agreement dialog box appears.

  4. Read the license agreement. You can print a copy of the license agreement for your records using the Print icon.

  5. Click I accept the license agreement and then click Next. The AVEVA Recipe Management Installation dialog box appears.

    NOTE: Ensure to select PCS - Service Repository feature to configure AVEVA Recipe Management in Standalone mode.

  6. Select the check boxes to indicate which features you want to install.

    You can click Browse to change the destination folder where the program will be installed.

    If you select ArchestrA Single Sign-On Service feature for installation, it will install AVEVA Identity Manager which helps in managing authentication and AVEVA Recipe Management client information. It also installs AVEVA Certificate Manager features that will generate/import SSL certificates. You must configure AVEVA Identity Manager with the SSL certificate selected.

    If you select AVEVA Enterprise Licensing Platform feature for installation, the installer will check and install prerequisites for AVEVA Enterprise Licensing also. For more information on AVEVA Enterprise Licensing, refer to the AVEVA Enterprise License Platform Guide.

    The Operations Control Management Console feature gets installed during AVEVA Recipe Management feature installation. You can enable the SendEvent log flag to display messages in the Operations Console Logger when events are triggered from the AVEVA Recipe Management Server.

    NOTE: ArchestrA Single Sign-On Service can be installed on local or remote to the AVEVA Recipe Management server.

  7. Click Next. The Ready to Install dialog box appears.

  8. Review your installation options and then click Install. The Updating the system dialog box appears and installs all the selected features along with the prerequisites for the selected features.

    After the files are copied, the Complete installation dialog box appears.

  9. If the installed features require configuration, click Configure. For more information on configuring AVEVA Recipe Management, see AVEVA Recipe Management Configuration.

    NOTE: Make sure to restart the computer after you install AVEVA Recipe Management when AVEVA System Platform is already installed on the same computer.
