Permissions

The following table describes the permissions columns for an export/import:

Column

Description

Enabled (required)

Whether the role has the permission. Can be true or false.

Permission (required)

Name of the permission. The name must be unique within the .csv file.

To export permissions

  1. From the Roles Summary page, click the role with the permissions you want to export.

  2. Click Export. A confirmation appears.

  3. Do any of the following:

    • Click Open to open the .CSV file.

    • Click Save to download the .CSV file at the default location.

    • Click Save as to save the .CSV file at the location where you want to download the file.

    • Click Save and Open to save the file and then open the .CSV file.

To create a new role by importing permissions

  1. From the Main menu, select Security > Roles to display the Roles Summary page.

  2. Click the Add Role button. The Roles details page displays. A new role is created with a default name that you can change. You can enter a description of the role in the field below.

  3. Click Import.

  4. From the slide-in window, click Browse to find the .CSV file you want to import.

  5. Select the file, then click Import.

  6. Click Update and the role is saved.
