Capability Parameters

The following table describes the Capability columns for import:

Column

Description

Parameter (required)

Name of the parameter.

Description

Displays the description for the Capability parameter.

Edit Actual Required (optional)

The data for the “Edit Actual Required” is updated only when the Capabilities “Ack on Exit” is set to “Yes”. The column “Edit Actual Required” is available only if the Capability is set to “Ack on Exit” as “Yes.”

Optional Target (optional)

Specifies whether the Parameter Target value is mandatory or optional.

Group (optional)

Name of the parameter group

Data Type (required)

Can be Boolean, String, Integer, or Double.

Min Value (optional for Integer and Double, not used by String, Boolean and defined List data types)

The value should match the data type.

Max Value (optional for Integer and Double, not used by String, Boolean and defined List data types)

The value should match the data type.

UOM (optional)

The value should match a UOM in the UOM editor, or else it is added to UOMs.

To export Capability parameters

  1. From the Capabilities Summary page, click the item with the parameters you want to export. The Capabilities details page appears.

  2. Click Export. A confirmation message appears.

  3. Do any of the following:

    • Click Open to open the .CSV file.

    • Click Save to download the .CSV file at the default location.

    • Click Save as to save the .CSV file at the location where you want to download the file.

    • Click Save and Open to save the file and then open the .CSV file.

To create a Capability by importing parameters

  1. From the Main menu, select Configuration > Capabilities to display the Capabilities Summary page. All existing Capabilities appears as tiles.

  2. Click the Add button. The Capabilities Details screen displays with a default name that you can change. You can enter a description of the Capability in the field below. The Capability is in Draft state and checked out to you.

  3. Click the Import button. The Import Parameters slide-in window appears.

  4. From the slide-in window, browse for a .csv file.

  5. Once you have selected your source, click Import. A confirmation message appears.

  6. Click OK. The imported parameters are entered in the parameter grid.
    Importing adds and updates rows but does not delete them.

  7. Check in your Capability by clicking the Check In button.
