RtReports 5​.0

RtReports is a powerful, fully configurable enterprise reporting application used with a PI System for generating electronic reports. With RtReports, you can produce repeatable reports without programming. A report may include aggregated data, such as averages or maximums, as well as conditional logic and PI Performance Equations. All data are maintained in their original fidelity, and changes to the original data are tracked.

RtReports allows users to specify the format, contents, and management of reports about your data. Reports are based on the plant configuration, specifications, and production data stored in the PI System. External data sources may be obtained through RtBaselineServices, a server-side data access layer that retrieves data from relational databases. RtReports can perform sophisticated calculations with your data. Generated reports are fully versioned and auditable.

The 5.0 release of RtReports adds a new HTML to PDF conversion engine. Depending on your report templates, this may result in mildly different formatting for printed reports. RtReports 5.0 adds the ability to report on Event Frame comments. Additional minor improvements, bug fixes, and security updates are included as well.  

While RtReports 4.2 and RtReports 5.0 contain all of the same fixes, enhancements, and security updates, the two releases differ in their HTML to PDF conversion engine. For backwards compatibility, RtReports 4.2 uses the PDF engine used in previous 4.x releases. RtReports 5.0 utilizes a newer PDF engine that may result in updated formatting for printed reports.
