Report template security, review, and approval settings

You can configure the security, review, and approval settings of a report template in the Report Template Advanced Settings window, which can be opened by clicking Edit > Advanced or by right-clicking the root node of the format template tree, clicking Property, and then clicking Advanced.

You can set group privileges when you create new report templates or edit existing report templates.

• Security

  Allow or deny permissions to edit or execute a report template. Each permission is defined at the group level, not for individual users.

• Report Edit

  Contains group names and security settings that control permissions to edit the definitions of the report template.

  Select Allow or Deny for each group.

• Report Execute

  Contains group names and security settings that control permissions to generate the report template.

  Select Allow or Deny for each group.

• Reviews

  Set the review cycle for a report template.

  The RtReports generator enforces the sequence of the review list. You can alter the sequence of, or add or delete a line from the review list.

• Approvals

  Define the steps, reviewers, and types of approval required in the report template approval plan.

  You can alter the sequence of steps, or add or delete a line from the approval list.
