Print report PDFs

Note: With the release of RtReports 4.0, the ability to print to physical printers has been deprecated. Printing is only supported to Adobe PDF. If you need to print a report to a physical printer, you must first print to Adobe PDF, and then use that copy to print to a physical printer.

Note: The 5.0 release of RtReports utilizes a new HTML to PDF conversion engine. Depending on the report templates, this may result in mildly different formatting for printing reports when compared to printed reports with previous versions of RtReports. Please see RtReports 5.0 printing updates for additional information.

You can print report PDFs after they have been generated in the RtReports generator.

• You can print a regular report at any time.

• You must approve a report before you can print an official report PDF.

• Official print marks are configured before a report template is released to production.

• After you print a report to PDF format, the hyperlink to view the report is displayed at the top of the Report Viewer page.

• You can only set the page numbering using the PageFooter section element in the format template.

To print a PDF report

1. To print a regular report, click View PDF.

   To ensure the most recent information, RtReports generates the report again. The report generation may require some time.

2. When the PDF version of the report displays in a new window, save or print the PDF.

3. To print an official report, open the approved report in the RtReports Report Viewer page and click the Print hyperlink.

   The report prints with any official marks that were set in the report template.
