Summary Value result definition

The Summary Value result definition retrieves summary values for a PI tag, alias, AF element attribute and event frame attribute.

You add and edit result definitions in the Result Definition pane of the Journal Action Edit window. You open the Journal Action Edit window by right-clicking the journal action node and then clicking Property.

Data Parameters

• Data Source

  The PI tag, alias, AF element attribute or event frames attribute from which to gather values.

• Display Digits

  Not implemented. Specify the numeric formatting using the data object and the Numeric Format property.

• Conversion Factor

  The conversion factor used to adjust the summary value if the engineering units for a PI tag do not match the default time units for the PI System.

• Minimum

  The minimum value for the time range.

• Maximum

  The maximum value for the time range.

• Total

  The total value over the time range.

• Average

  The average value over the time range.

• Standard Deviation

  The standard deviation over the time range.

• Range

  The range of values over the time range.

• Mean

  The discrete average over the time range.

• Event Weighted

  Not implemented. Determines what type of event-weighted result is produced.
