Data set configuration

Data sets provide a uniform way of obtaining data from various sources for use with RtReports. Data sets must be defined before users and administrators can construct reports using data obtained through RtBaseline Services. RtBaseline Services supports data sets based on a source of data: relational data stores.

Configure data sets in the RtBaseline Services Administration page. This page is typically found at https://server_name/RtReports/Admin/admin.aspx, where server_name is the name of the server hosting RtBaseline Services. When accessing these pages using a web browser from on the RtReports server, the user may or may not be asked to login, depending on the machine settings for User Access Control.

Data Parameters

The Data Parameters pane options vary depending on the parameters needed for the selected data set.

If a placeholder has a default value, it can be viewed by displaying the tool tip for the field. The default value is only available for reference the first time the data set is selected.

AF elements attributes and event frames attributes can be used as data sources.

Note: For changes made to datasets, you will need to update the template version or create a new template; changes are not directly propagated to reports.
