Test time reports

1. Open a time report template from the command menu.

2. Click View > Test Report or press F2 .

   The Time Based Report window opens.

3. Select the Server, Start Time, and End Time values for testing your report.

4. Optional: If your report supports report parameters, and you want to configure them, enter their values in the Parameters section.

   For each report parameter displayed in the Parameters section, you can either enter a new value for the report parameter (if the parameter is a single-value parameter) or select a report parameter value from a list (if the parameter contains a list of values).

5. Click OK.

   RtReports validates all parameter value types against their definition in the report template before it generates the report. If the entered parameter value is not of the same type as defined in the report template, RtReports shows an error message at the bottom of the Parameters section and does not generate a report.

   The editor runs the report template against the selected time context.

The generated report opens in the Preview tab and the data journal opens in the Journal tab.

Note: RtReports editor only uses * for PI relative time in the Start and Endtime. It does not use "y" or "t."
