You can set the recurrence pattern for time-based report templates within the format template using the Report Edit window.

The Criteria tab specifies the recurrence pattern for the time-based report template.

Recurrence can occur by minutes, hours, days, weeks, months, years, or no recurrence. The options available for each recurrence pattern depend on which one you select.

  1. In the Report Edit window, under the Criteria tab, select the Recurrence option from the drop-down list.

  2. Configure the recurrence pattern by choosing the appropriate settings.

    • For Minutes recurrence, specify a report run to recur every N minutes from the start time.

    • For Hours recurrence, specify a report run to recur every N hours from the start time.

    • For Days recurrence, you have two choices.

      • You can specify a report run to recur every N days from the start time.

      • You can select Every weekday.

    • For Weeks recurrence, specify a report run to recur every N weeks from the start time, and then select the check boxes for the day or days of the week you want to run the report.

    • For Months recurrence, you have two choices.

      • You can specify a report run to recur on day N of the month, every M months, where M is the number of months from the start time. For example, every 3 months on the 15th.

      • You can specify a report run to occur by the day and week of a recurrence period. For example, the second Wednesday of every third month.

    • For Years recurrence, you have two choices.

      • You can specify a report run to recur every Nth calendar day of a specific month going forward from the start time. For example, every March on the 15th.

      • You can specify a report run to recur by the day, week, and month of the year. For example, the second Wednesday of every March.

  3. After you have selected the recurrence pattern type, define the Reference Start and the Report Duration to set the start and end time parameters for the pattern.

  4. Click OK to save your recurrence pattern settings.
