Note: When you run an existing batch report against an Event Frame context, any module alias or module property references in your journal actions will be redirected to the synchronized AF Element Attribute (using the MDB-to-AF synchronization settings on the PI server).

A journal action is the rule set for retrieving data for a report. The data, or result definition, returned by the journal action needs a time context. Within the journal action, the rules for determining the time context in which to find the data are determined either by action results or a combination of transition equations and action states.

Action results use the start and end times from the parent context of the journal action to define the start and end times for retrieving result definitions.

You can edit action results in the Journal Action Edit window. Right-click the journal action node and then click Property to open the Journal Action Edit window and click on the Action Results tab.
