RtReports upgrades

To upgrade an RtReports server, you must:

1. Complete all pre-installation tasks.

2. Install the new RtReports server software.

3. Complete all post requisite tasks.

There are two recommended ways to upgrade RtReports:

• Create a new RtReports server with the upgraded software, then configure the settings to match the configurations for the old server.

• Add a new RtReports server to an existing PI Server and RtReports server cluster.

  Note: If you are upgrading from RtReports 5.0 and earlier to RtReports 5.1 or later, you will have the option to migrate RtReports application data from PI Module Database in the PI Data Archive to an Asset Framework Server's Configuration database. The installing user must have read and write access to the Asset Framework Server's Configuration database. For more information, see RtReports application data storage.
