User group security privileges

System administrators control user group access and permission in the RtReports editor.

The system administrator creates groups on the RtReports server using the Microsoft Computer Management Console. The system administrator then assigns specific user privileges to those newly created groups.

By default, the RtReportsAdmin group is created during installation.

Sign-in access to the RtReports generator and editor.

Users with this privilege can run report templates in the generator if they have permission to access the report template.

Comment

Insert and view comments in a report.

Verify

Verify specific sections of a report.

Approve

Participate in an approval cycle explicitly configured for a report.

Generate a PDF

Generate one or more non-official PDFs of a report.

Review

Participate in a review cycle if explicitly configured for a report template.

Edit

Modify a report template to which they have explicitly been granted access.

Administrator

Grant security privileges to user groups.
