RtBaseline Services supports relational databases via ODBC, Microsoft Jet 4.0 OLE DB (Access), OLE DB, Oracle, PI OLEDB, or SQL Server database connections.

Note: The Oracle and SQL Server .NET Framework Data Providers (, ) do not use OLEDB technology. Rather, they use native technologies that are intended to provide better performance.

Warning: The User Account specified for connections should have ONLY read-only permissions and the bare minimum privileges for their roles.

  1. Under Data Sources, click Relational to navigate to the Relational Data Sources page. Relational databases available to the web server are listed on the left side of the page, under Configured Data Sources.

  2. Click the New button to create a new entry for a Relational Data Source. The fields to the right of the list of data sources are reset to default values.

  3. Configure the connection based on database type:

  4. Click the Test Connection button to verify that RtBaseline Services can connect to the data source as specified.

  5. When you have finished, click the Save button to add the new relational database entry to the list of Configured Data Sources.
