Assign privileges to groups

  1. Sign in to the RtReports editor using an account with Administrator privileges.

  2. From the Admin menu, select Group Privileges.

    The Group Privileges window opens.

  3. Select a group from the Group Names list.

    The privileges for the group are listed in the Permissions pane, indicated by check marks.

  4. To assign privileges to the group, select the corresponding check box in the Allow column.

    • Selecting the Administrator privilege automatically adds all other group privileges, and clearing any of the privileges automatically clears the Administrator privilege.

    • Selecting any privilege automatically adds the User privilege to a group.

    • Adding any permission to a group automatically adds the User permission.

  5. To clear a selection, select the privilege in the Deny column or select the privilege in the Allow column a second time.

  6. To save the changes, click OK.

  7. Restart the RtReports editor.

    Note: You must restart the RtReports editor after assigning privileges to ensure the security changes take effect.
