Simple result definition

The Simple result definition returns static or PI tag data to the report.

You add and edit result definitions in the Result Definition pane of the Journal Action Edit window. You open the Journal Action Edit window by right-clicking the journal action node and then clicking Property.

Data Parameters

Your choice of data parameter type determines how the value is read by RtReports.

• Literal

  Uses the Value field as a literal string.

• PE

  Uses the Value field as a PI performance equation expression. In addition, add AF/EF attributes in this field to utilize them within the Simple Result Definition.

• PI Tag

  Uses the Value field as the value of a particular PI tag.

• Value

  The result definition value.

  For PE and PI Tag data parameters, you can drag a dynamic parameter into this field or search using the magnifying glass button.
