Preview reports

When building your report template, you can preview a sample of what the formatted report and journal will look like in the Report tab.

You can refresh the report preview with a previously selected batch or time. If you have tested your report using the Test Report option during your current session, the editor will remember the batch or time that you chose to test the report and will use the previously selected context for the report preview, updating the Preview tab and Journal tab.

You can also refresh the report preview without a current data sample. If you have not tested the report template against a batch or time during your current session, the editor will generate a sample journal from the currently defined data template configuration and use this data sample when generating the report preview.

1. From the menu, click View.

   • To refresh the report preview with the current context, click Refresh.

   • To refresh without a current data sample, click Data Sample.

   You can use the sample journal for populating dynamic drawing objects and defining iterations and conditions.
