View the security database

Open a command prompt and navigate to the RtReports\bin folder on the RtReports server.

Run the following command:

OSISoft.RtReports.SecuritySettings.exe templatepath piserver outputswitch outputfile

where:

• templatepath is the location of the RtReports database. By default, the file path is \%OSI\RtReports;

• piserver is the name of the PI server you are using to store your report templates;

• outputswitch which, when set to a double quotation mark, a space, then a double quotation mark (" "), allows you to view the security database; and

• outputfile is the complete path to an XML file where the contents will be exported.

  If you do not specify a complete path, the security.xml file will be created in the configuration folder.

Open the output file that you specified.

Verify that the group definitions have the correct RtReports server designation of RtReportsServerName/GroupName.
