Report template version management

All report templates have a version number and status.

• Version numbering

  The initial version of a report template starts at 1.0. New versions increase by whole numbers.

• Released version

  Only one released version of a report template may be run against a batch. The version in effect is determined by batch start time. For the first released version, the batch start time begins with UTC=0.

  Once a version of a report template is approved and marked as released, it cannot be changed. Instead, you must create a new version.

• Version status

  The status of a report template version will be editing, retired, offline or released.

  When you are working with a particular report template, the report name and status are displayed at the bottom of your screen.

• Version manager

  You use the version manager in the editor to review report templates, create new versions or report templates, review reports, and manage report template availability.

  

  You open the Report Template Version Manager window by clicking Tools > Report Version Manager.
