PI Batch Property result definition

The PI Batch Property result definition retrieves PI Batch properties from a PI Batch object populated by the Event File Interface.

Certain batch execution engines produce EVT files, which are log files of all events that happened during the manufacturing process. The Event File Interface processes the EVT file and creates a nested set of PI properties associated with the PI Batch object within the PI Batch Database.

The key columns within the EVT files are the Event Type, Description, and Value columns. The PI Batch Property result definition allows you to extract information from these PI Batch properties based on settings that relate to these columns.

You add and edit result definitions in the Result Definition pane of the Journal Action Edit window. You open the Journal Action Edit window by right-clicking the journal action node and then clicking Property.

Data Parameters

• Description

  Matches the name of the description you want to retrieve. This can be the exact description name or a wildcard character, *.

• Value Filter

  Places a filter on the Value column. This can be the exact string match or a wildcard character, *.

• Type

  The fields from which you want to extract the information. The Type field has three options.

• Type value of 0

  Uses only the Event field.

• Type value of 1

  Uses both the Event and Description fields.

• Type value of 2

  Uses only the Value Filter field.
