Trace Set elements

Trace set elements create standard tables to display data from TraceSet data journal objects.

You configure the trace set element in the Trace Set Table Edit window. This window contains tabs for:

  • Table

  • Headers

  • Row Layout

  • Cell Layout

  • Rows Definition

  • Border

  • Expressions

  • Table Layout

To edit drawing elements, right-click the element node in the format template tree and then click Property.

Table tab

  • Node Name

    The node name in the format template tree for the trace set element.

  • Source

    Specifies a source expression used to retrieve a TraceSet data object from the data journal.

Header tab

  • Enable Auto Headers

    Specifies if the trace set element will generate automatic header rows in the table.

  • Background Color

    Defines the background color of the element.

  • Alignment

    Specifies the horizontal and vertical alignment of the trace set element in the report.

  • Font

    Defines the font properties for header text within the element.

Row Layout tab

  • Alignment

    Specifies the horizontal and vertical alignment of the trace set element.

  • Border Color

    Specifies the color for the border line, and the light and dark colors for a 3D border.

  • Background Color

    Specifies the background color of the element.

Cell Layout tab

  • Width

    Overrides the default cell width and specifies the width of the cells, in pixels or as a percentage of the element.

  • Border Color

    Specifies the color for the border line, and the light and dark colors for a 3D border.

  • Background Color

    Specifies the background color of the element.

  • No Wrap

    Disables text wrapping for the cells.

Rows Definition tab

  • Columns

    Specifies the source for the column.

  • Format

    Specifies a format string for the column.

  • Align

    Specifies the alignment of the column..

Border tab

  • Rule

    Specifies the ruling style for table lines between cells.

  • Frame

    Specifies the style of line used in the table.

  • Cell Padding

    Specifies the amount of space, in pixels, between the border of the cell and the content in the cell.

    A Cell Padding value can be set to Default, 0 , or a positive integer. A Default value uses the default browser rendering.

  • Cell Spacing

    Specifies the amount of space, in pixels, between table cells.

    A Cell Spacing value can be set to Default, 0 , or a positive integer. A Default value uses the default browser rendering.

  • Border Width

    Specifies the width of the line used for the cell border.

  • Border Color

    Specifies the color of the border, and the light and dark colors for a 3D border.

Expressions tab

  • Condition

    A condition expression for the trace set element.

  • Iterator

    Defines an iterator expression for the trace set element.

  • Iterator Result Condition

    Defines a result condition for the iterator.

Table Layout tab

  • Alignment

    Specifies the alignment of items contained in the table.

  • Background Color

    Specifies the background color for the element.

  • Width

    Overrides the default table width and specifies the width of the table, in pixels or as a percentage of the element.

  • Height

    Overrides the default table height and specifies the height of the table, in pixels or as a percentage of the element.
