Optional section elements

Section elements are the main organizational elements of a format template.

Besides the default section elements that are added when you create a new report template, you can add and edit additional section elements in the format template.

Optional section elements include: SectionHeader, SectionFooter, and customized section elements defined by the user.

For user-created sections, you can insert additional section elements and entry elements.

• SectionHeader

  Defines how content at the top of each report section displays.

• SectionFooter

  Defines how content at the bottom of each report section displays.

User-defined section elements

You can insert new section elements at the root node of the format template or you can insert a new section element into an existing section element.

You set the properties for each new section element using the Layout and Expressions tabs in the Section Edit window.
