Format Toolbox

You can use the Format Toolbox tab to drag and drop report formatting objects into the format template. These objects are the same as the ones available through the Insert menu and the context menu in the format template tree.

The default position for the Format Toolbox tab is on the right side of the RtReports editor window.

Objects tab

The Objects tab contains drawing objects that you can drag and drop into the format template tree.

Style Sheets tab

You can use the Style Sheet tab to save sections of your format template for reuse in any format template.

• You can drag and drop sections from the format template into the Style Sheet tab.

• You can drag and drop sections that contain nested elements.

Scratch Pad tab

The Scratch Pad tab allows you to drag and drop elements to use within the same session.

• The scratch pad is not saved between sessions.

• You can drag and drop elements stored on the scratch pad into the format template tree.

The format toolbox scratch pad is separate from the data toolbox scratch pad.
