Search for official time ranges

A time report template may be configured to run during predefined time ranges such as a shift, day, week, or monthly time period. This predefined time range is called the official time range for a time report template.

Official time ranges determine whether a time report can be generated from a time report template. When searching for report templates, the official time range is one of the contexts you use to limit the search.

With proper permissions, you can generate a time report template for any time range. However, unless your time range corresponds to the time range criteria of the report template, you are not able to comment or perform compliance workflow on the report.

1. Enter the start time for your search in the Start Time field.

   Times may be relative or absolute.

2. Enter the end time for your search in the End Time field.

3. In the Conditions area, select the PI Server for which you want to generate the report template against from the Server list.

4. Click Search.

   In the Time Search Results area, you can see the official time ranges for which a report can be generated.

   Results are organized by report template name and version.
