RtReports installations

Note: Ensure the pre-installation tasks are completed before starting the RtReports installation.

Installation kits

RtReports has two different installation kits.

• RtReports Install Kit (server and editor)

• RtReports Editor Install Kit (editor only)

Installation steps

1. Complete all pre-installation tasks.

2. Install the RtReports server and RtReports editor.

3. Configure RtReports settings.

Server and software configurations

For better performance and security, the RtReports server should not also host a PI Server. However, sometimes all server software must be hosted on a single machine, and RtReports supports this configuration without any additional server or software configurations.

The RtReports editor software is installed on the web server. You can install an additional copy on any client machine within the RtReports network.
