Volume selection tools

From the AVEVA Point Cloud Manager drop-down menu, select Options.

A floating toolbar is opened containing all the volume selection functions. This enables the user to define volumes of interest and introduce high density points in that region. There are two ways to select volumes; firstly, by the use of Marine elements which either have bounding boxes applied individually, or around a group. Alternatively, one can pick element endpoint to endpoint, to visually pick a volume in the 3D environment.

Options are available to control the selected volume by adding a border area to increase the point cloud coverage beyond the boundaries of the CE, removing the low resolution data from the screen, and the selected volume density to be applied.
