AVEVA Point Cloud Manager enables users to set up a project containing multiple datasets and a hierarchy of users with associated permissions.
When you create a new project, the project node appears under the Project tab.
To import a dataset to the project file:

Right-click on the .lfm project file and select Import Dataset. Alternatively, you can also import datasets from the File menu by accessing File > Import Dataset.

In the browser, select the .lfd file that you wish to add to the project and select Open. The dataset will now appear under the Project node with the contributory scans listed under the dataset name.

Right-click on the Project node to import further datasets.
Each project file (.lfm) has three nodes:

Project Node - This represents the main project file

Dataset Node - This represents the datasets that you import to the project

Scan Node - This represents the scan files under each dataset
The right-click menu options for each node are described in the following tables:

Unload |
Unloads the dataset from the current project. For cloud projects, when you unload a dataset, all measurements associated with that dataset are disabled. To re-enable measurements, reload the dataset, then right-click the measurement and select Show. |

New > Region |
Creates a new region for splitting up the Dataset into separate areas. Click and drag a scan onto the region name to move that scan into the region. These regions will be taken into account when setting up an AVEVA Point Cloud Manager - Viewer project. |

Delete Dataset |
Deletes the Dataset from the current project. |
|
Publish > HyperBubble Resources |
Publishes resources for HyperBubble data from the selected Dataset. For further details about publishing HyperBubble resources, see HyperBubble and Solid Point Cloud Creation and Use. |

Publish > Solid Point Cloud |
Publishes Solid Point Cloud resources for the selected Dataset. For further details about publishing Solid Point Cloud resources, see HyperBubble and Solid Point Cloud Creation and Use. |

Clear Bubble Search Paths |
Clears the currently stored function, if the .int files for a dataset have been moved to a different location. When opening the next BubbleView after this function has been used, you may be asked to locate the .int files for the dataset. |

Updates the format of the Dataset, allowing older Datasets to be linked with AVEVA Marine 11.6 onwards. The function needs to be run in Point Cloud Manager before connecting to Marine. It is only necessary to do this once. A free space map will be added to the Point Cloud Manager Dataset. Marine uses this file for the Remap XGEOM process. Note: This feature requires a valid Point Cloud Manager/Marine link license to be present. |

Sign Dataset |
Point Cloud Manager Dataset files may be moved in space. This enables users to reposition Datasets to match CAD design space. The positional offset is achieved by modification of the project LFD file in a text editor. Following changes, a warning will be given to users stating that the Dataset has been tampered with. This is reset/verified using the 'Sign' function. For more information please contact pcm.support@aveva.com. Note: This feature requires a valid Dataset Generation license to be present. |

Update Image Locations for AVEVA Point Cloud Manager - Viewer |
When a .lfm file is replaced or a new one is created, the file does not contain the decorators information (.lfj/.lfp files) that is required to view BubbleViews in AVEVA Point Cloud Manager - Viewer. Selecting Update Image Locations for AVEVA Point Cloud Manager - Viewer points to the .lfj/.lfp file locations that are saved in a .lfm file. |

Displays all the low resolutions points in the project. This is useful when points from only one scan has been shown and the user wishes to return to the full dataset. |

Publishes a GIS .xml file. Refer to the AVEVA Point Cloud Manager - Viewer Project Publishing section for further information. |

Publish > Cloud Data Tables |
Publishes cloud data tables from the selected Dataset. JSON files (for benchmarks, dataset, markups, measurements, options, objects, scan, project, projectFrame and volume) are created in the selected folder. |

AVEVA AIM On-premise Project |
Integrates a Point Cloud Manager project into AVEVA AIM. |
