Dataset generation hardware requirements

AVEVA Point Cloud Manager dataset generation needs two 250GBytes SATA drives with a minimum of 7200prm for optimum performance. One of the drives is used to hold the intermediate points during Dataset construction. The second drive is used to receive the final points for the Dataset and should therefore be placed in a plug-in housing into the machine. After a Dataset has been created, and its size is known, it can then be transferred to a smaller disk.
Note: Some motherboards will not accept 250GByte drives directly and will need a special controller card.
A third disk is desirable to hold the .zfc images locally on the generation machine.
