These options may be adjusted to suit the project. Default values are recommended for typical applications.

Point Density Option
This varies the point cloud density displayed on the screen after volume selection. Very dense points may affect performance.

Object Resolution Option
This controls the CAD object rendering. Set to Low if reviewing a large drawing against a point cloud.

Tie-Ins Type
You can select how the imported tie-ins from Point Cloud Manager appear in MicroStation by selecting one of the following options:
-
Cone - Displays a cone for each tie-in.
-
Line - Displays the pipe centerline with a "flick" at each end to denote the radius.
Create Tie-Ins on Layer
Configure the destination level in the MicroStation drawing for importing tie-ins from Point Cloud Manager.
When the link is active, any points visible within Point Cloud Manager will be displayed in the MicroStation views. The low-density display will be shown initially, and any selected volumes at high density. The low-density display can be turned off to show just the selected volumes. The views can be zoomed to an area for which points are loaded within Point Cloud Manager, using the Fit View command.
When points are seen in a view, the tentative selection may be used to select a point to snap to by pressing the Ctrl key at the same time as the tentative function (Our users have set the middle mouse button to the tentative select (Workspace -> Button assignments ) in MicroStation). In the simplest case, this enables the user to draw lines between the scanned points, such as dot-to-dot, or to use a point to locate a library object.
