Control

Select control points to use for aligning the data about the origin. Pick two or more points on flat parallel surfaces. After the points have been picked, right-click to accept the points and continue. Press Esc to cancel this function without accepting the control points.

After the control points have been created, these appear in a control group underneath the register group. Select the control points to be used by right-clicking and selecting Set as Group Origin. The data is rotated around the first control point picked. This is reflected in the Registration tab as shown below:
