The Download option enables you to reuse a project that has been produced through the Cloud. This also helps you deliver your uploaded projects to customers who are still working on Desktop. For customers who do not use APCM, this feature enables you to download raw scan data that can be shared.

To download a desired project from CONNECT.

  1. On the Point Cloud Manager Server interface, go to Utilities > Download Project. This takes you to the CONNECT sign-in page where your credentials are verified.

Download project icon to download a project from the cloud

You must have the Download User permission to download a project from the Cloud.

  2. On the Select a project window, select an asset that you wish to download to your local folder and then select Next.

Select a project window displaying assets that can be downloaded to a local folder

This directs you to the Select Resources page where you are presented with three options as shown below.

Select resources window to select specific resources to download

  3. Select the desired option and then select Next. On the window where your selected resources are displayed, you can choose to select a single resource or multiple resources and then select Next.

Select raw scans window displaying scan files that can be downloaded

The application directs you to select the destination where your resources will be downloaded.

  4. Browse to select the location and click Next and Continue.

The download process begins and a successful message is displayed.

  5. Select OK and access the downloaded resource.

At the end of the process, the downloaded project (.lfm file) is stored in a GUID folder. In case of assets containing projects that were generated in the Cloud, there should be two sub-folders, Dataset and Project.

In case of assets containing projects that were published to Viewer from the APCM Server interface, there should be just the Dataset folder.

In case of multiple datasets, each dataset (.lfd file) is stored under its corresponding GUID folder, which is within the Dataset folder.
