Link AVEVA Review to dataset

To link AVEVA Review to a Dataset, follow the steps below:

1. Load the AVEVA Review Model

   1. Open AVEVA Point Cloud Manager. It is not necessary to open the relevant Dataset as this will be requested from within AVEVA Review.

      

   2. Next, start AVEVA Review and open the Review model file and also the environment preference file.

      The model should be visible on the screen in the 3D window. If there is no colour associated with the model, there is a paint option within AVEVA Review. Please read information in Marine CAD link regarding the export of the model in the correct format for AVEVA Review.

      

   3. Add the model into the 3D workspace. This can be all, or zones of interest.

      The model appears for review.

2. Load the point cloud into AVEVA Review

   1. When the model is loaded, from the Addins drop-down menu, select AVEVA Point Cloud Manager Add-in.

   2. The Dataset (.lfd file) can be called by selecting the Add Model button and browsing for the Dataset (.lfd) file in the project directory.

   3. The Dataset name appears in the Loaded Models window, and points appear in the 3D view.

      

   4. If a different Dataset is required to be loaded, then the Dataset name should be highlighted (with the left mouse click on name, giving blue highlight – see below), and Remove Model selected. The point cloud overlays with the model (see image below). As with all the CAD-Links, a change in selection or density of a point volume in Point Cloud Manager is instantly reflected in AVEVA Review (movement/refresh needed).
