AVEVA™ Point Cloud Manager

Restore demolitions

The AVEVA Point Cloud Manager project (.lfm) file stores information about the demolished volumes within the project. However, the demolition status of the 3D points themselves are stored elsewhere. If you delete a Point Cloud Manager project file that contains demolished volumes, the reference to the volumes is lost but the demolished points within the datasets inside that project remain demolished. Therefore, you can no longer use the right-click demolition menu on the volume reference to restore the points within that volume. To provide a way out of this situation, Point Cloud Manager now enables you to restore all the demolished points within a dataset/project.

To restore the demolished points:

  1. Select the Restore All button on the Utilities toolbar. A warning appears informing you that this function cannot be reverted and asking you if you wish to proceed.

  2. Select Yes to proceed. This process may take some time, especially for larger projects. During this process, Point Cloud Manager will be unresponsive. After the process is finished, a message appears to inform you that the process is complete. All points in the dataset/project have now been set to a non-demolished status.
