Display scan site positions

To aid the clarity of viewing the scan data, it is possible to display the positions of the individual scan sites in the 3D window. You can then load BubbleViews by selecting the required scan site from within the 3D window in Marine.

Before you use this function, ensure XGEOM are loading into the Drawlist, and are visible in the 3D window.

To display scan site positions:

1. From the AVEVA Point Cloud Manager menu, select Show scan sites. AVEVA Point Cloud Manager ScanSite Viewer window opens and green spheres appear in 3D point cloud data as shown in the image below:

   

2. From within the ScanSite Viewer, the scanner position co-ordinates are displayed. To open the options menu as shown below, right-click over each scan site.

   

3. You may select from one of the following scan sites:

   • Show Bub - Opens the BubbleView for this scan. The window may open in minimized form.

   • Hide Scan Aid - Toggles the display of green sphere in 3D window.

   • Show Scan Aid - When a BubbleView is displayed for a scan site, the sphere expands in size automatically to denote the BubbleView is open for a particular scan site.

4. After you select a scan site, under Tools, apply Reset and Scan Site Size. If no scan site is highlighted, Reset and Scan Site Size slider apply to all loaded scan site views.

5. To load a BubbleView, select Show Bub and then select the sphere in the 3D view.

6. To toggle the display of the scan site spheres in the 3D view, select Hide All/Show All.
