Generate a dataset

Generate a Point Cloud Manager dataset (.lfd) from the selected group by right-clicking the group node and selecting Generate Dataset. For further information, please see Dataset Generation.

If for any reason a Point Cloud Manager dataset generation has been interrupted, for example a power failure, the generation can be restarted from the point it was interrupted. To do this:

1. Reload AVEVA Point Cloud Manager.

2. Load the project.

3. Right-click on the relevant group node and select Generate Dataset. The Generation Settings window is displayed as shown below.

   

4. Select Continue using previous settings and then select Next to start the recovery process.
