Configure SQL Server to use mixed mode authentication

  1. Open Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio, and connect to the SQL Server instance that stores the PI AF SQL Server database.

  2. Right-click the SQL Server instance and select Properties.

    The Server Properties window opens.

  3. Select the Security page.

  4. Select the SQL Server and Windows Authentication mode option.

  5. Click OK to return to Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio.

    If the SQL Server service has not been restarted since mixed mode authentication was selected, you must restart the SQL Server database engine service to make mixed mode authentication available.
