Begin the planning process by reviewing the system requirement for Data Archive and ensuring that your server's operating system is compatible.

  1. Review the System requirements for Data Archive 2018. Download and review the PI Data Archive Release Notes at the Customer Portal.

  2. Ensure your server operating system is compatible with the version of your Data Archive server.

  3. Record the server operating system version in your PI Server installation worksheet.

    Note: This will help you keep track of each server, especially if there are multiple Data Archive servers deployed as a collective.
