Confirm the connection to Active Directory

Confirm that PI Notifications service can access Active Directory so you can retrieve contact names for notifications.

1. In PI System Explorer, select Contacts.

2. Confirm that your own user ID appears in the list of contacts.

   If your user ID does not appear as a contact, you may need to configure the connection to Active Directory. See the notifications topic Configure Active Directory access for contacts.
