PI AF server installation and upgrade

The PI AF server stores, contextualizes, refines and analyzes your operational data by organizing them into assets and event frames. PI AF server responds to requests for this data from PI AF Clients. The PI AF server consists of the PI AF application service and the PI AF SQL Server database. PI AF application service provides client applications the ability to read and write PI AF data stored in the PI AF SQL Server database. The AF SQL scripts feature installs the AF SQL scripts used to create the AF SQL Server database.

Note: Optionally, you can also install PI SQL Data Access Server (RTQP Engine) on the PI AF server to provide back-end support for PI SQL Client OLEDB, ODBC and JDBC drivers.
