Configure logging

Troubleshooting PI AF server features such as PI Analysis Service involves examining the message logs. Adjusting the severity level and verbosity of these message logs can assist with troubleshooting and identifying the issue. The PI Server install kit provides .config file for each process and Analysis.UserNLog.config file for additional NLog configuration, a popular logging tool for troubleshooting.

Caution: Increasing the debug level higher than the default level can flood the Event Viewer Application logs and decrease performance. DO NOT leave the debug level higher than the default for any longer than necessary.
