Removing the primary server from the PI AF collective disassembles the collective so that only individual servers remain, which you can then upgrade.
Note: If you remove the primary PI AF server from a collective while the collective is still replicating, the entire collective is removed. The subscription is dropped on both ends (primary server and secondary server). All agents are stopped. The PIFD_distribution database is deleted. All replication is halted and cannot be restarted.
-
In AF Collective Manager, select the PI AF collective that contains the primary server to be removed and click the Properties button.
-
Click the Collective tab.
-
Right-click the primary server and select Delete....
-
Click Yes.
The AF collective is disassembled. The member servers in the collective are converted to standalone servers. Existing data will not be otherwise affected.
