Uninstalling PI API 2018 Patch 2 for Windows Integrated Security rolls back the PI API to PI API 1.6.8.22. However, if no other application requires the PI API files, then the files are removed from the system completely. The following scenarios illustrate the uninstall process:

If you installed the PI SDK (which installed PI API 1.6.8.22), and then upgrade to PI API 2018 Patch 2 for Windows Integrated Security, when you uninstall PI API 2018 Patch 2 for Windows Integrated Security, the PI API will be rolled back to PI API 1.6.8.22.

If you installed PI API 2018 Patch 2 for Windows Integrated Security as a new PI API install, when you uninstall it, all PI API files will be removed completely and there is no rollback.

If you installed PI API 2018 Patch 2 for Windows Integrated Security as a new install, then installed PI SDK, uninstalling PI API 2018 Patch 2 for Windows Integrated Security will roll back PI API to PI API 1.6.8.22.

If you installed the PI SDK before upgrading PI API, upgrade PI API to PI API 2018 Patch 2 for Windows Integrated Security, and then uninstall both the PI API and PI SDK. In this scenario, all PI API files will be uninstalled.

Open Windows Control Panel.

Select PI API 2018 Patch 2 for Windows Integrated Security from the Add or Remove Programs.

Remove PI API 2018 Patch 2 for Windows Integrated Security from the list.
