Migrate over time

You can migrate to the new security model over time. Exactly how and when you do this is up to you. These instructions are divided into two categories:

• Initial Configuration Steps

  Perform these basic steps to set up a Data Archive security configuration that uses Windows authentication. See Initial configuration steps.

If your existing configuration relies on very few PI users or PI groups, the Quick-start security migration might work better for you.
