Understand the imported data ingress settings for MES

The following Data Ingress settings are updated when the pre-configured MES Curator Data Ingress endpoint configurations are successfully imported. For more information on Events to CONNECT Data Ingress properties, refer to the AVEVA Events to CONNECT online help.

Resources

The resources listed in the Resources tab are the MES Curator Host REST API endpoints for requesting data on the MES configuration, reference data, and events data. The items in this list should not be modified or deleted.

Queries

The queries listed in the Queries tab are the additional MES Curator Host REST API routings that are added to one of the defined Resources. These queries list all the supported calls and types for creating and deleting records in CONNECT data services. The items in this list should not be modified or deleted.

Schedules

The schedules listed on the Schedules tab define the frequencies to call specific endpoints. These can be modified by the user to change the requested data frequencies. However, changes here should be coordinated with the frequencies in the MES staging_type_config table when not using on-demand curation. For example, events are curated at the fastest rate of every 5 minutes; therefore, the corresponding schedule should also be set for every 5 minutes. For detailed information about the staging_type_config table, see the MES Middleware and Cloud Integration guide. Refer to the Data Selection tab to determine where a specific schedule is used.

Note: Event data by default is configured with the most frequent schedules while reference data is updated at longer intervals. If an event record is sent to CONNECT data services before the corresponding reference data is sent, an empty reference data record is created in CONNECT data services and will be updated when the reference data is later sent to CONNECT data services. In the interim, there will be NULL values for the reference data. This is an expected behavior of the system and will be corrected later when the reference data is sent to CONNECT data services.

Data Selection

The items listed define the linkages between resources, queries, and schedules and map where to send the data in the CONNECT data services Event model. Other than the schedules, these mappings should not be modified.
