The minimum and maximum net effects on delay from the timestamp recorded in the production database and the time the data is returned to the agent from the staging tables are as follows:
-
The maximum delay between the timestamp of the event in the MES database and the sending of the event to CONNECT data services is the sum of:
-
Time to commit the record in MES (3 minutes)
-
TimeDelayForCuration setting (4 minutes)
-
Time delay for curation (1 minute)
-
Time to commit the record in staging (3 minutes)
-
TransactionTimeout setting (1 minute)
-
Time delay for Web request (1 minute)
Therefore, with default settings, and assuming the time to commit records is 3 minutes, the maximum time is (3+4+1+3+1+1) = 13 minutes.

The minimum delay between the timestamp of the event in the MES database and the sending of the event to CONNECT data services, assuming no time to commit records, and changing default settings to 1 minute is (0+1+1+0+1+1) = 4 minutes.
