-
-
In the Properties window, complete the following settings.
Reason Description
The item reason that is used to trigger the dynamic routing process. An item reason selection is required.
Click the Browse button to select a reason from a list of available item reasons.
If the system is configured to identify a dynamic route as part of the original work order, the dynamic route item reasons must be set up as good production reasons. The dynamic route reworked material is processed further as part of the original work order.
If the system is configured to identify a dynamic route as a separate work order, the dynamic route item reasons must be set up as scrap reasons. This dynamic route reworked material is not processed further as part of the original work order.
Originating Routing Code
The dynamic routing code for this usage entry. This entry is required.
Select an existing code in the list or type a new dynamic routing code.
If only certain jobs are going to be allowed to initiate the dynamic routing process for this usage entry, the process must be entered in Orig. Process ID and this routing code must be entered in the Dynamic Routing Code property setting of the operations that instantiate those jobs.
Orig. Process ID
The ID of the process from which the dynamic routing process can be triggered. Click the Browse button to select the process.
This entry is optional. If a process is specified, then jobs instantiated by the process' operations whose Dynamic Routing Code setting matches the Originating Routing Code of this usage entry will be included as a trigger condition requirement. Otherwise, specific jobs are not considered as a trigger condition requirement.
Item ID
The ID of the item whose production reporting can be used as a condition to trigger the dynamic routing process. Click the Browse button to select the item.
This entry is optional. If an item is specified, then the dynamic routing process can only be triggered when production for that item is being reported. Otherwise, the item for which production is being reported is not considered as a trigger condition requirement.
Dynamic Routing Process ID
The process ID of the dynamic routing process that will be initiated when the trigger conditions of this usage entry are met.
Max Dynamic Routes
The maximum number of times this dynamic routing process can be performed on a given unit of production.
If the triggering of this dynamic routing process exceeds this value for that unit of production, the user is notified that the production cannot be processed alternatively. In that case, if the selected item reason is not a scrap reason, the transaction to add production fails and rolls back and the user must select another reason.
Re-entry Route Code
The dynamic routing code that is used to identify the operation in the originating process to which the reworked material will be routed when the dynamic routing process completes. To enable this behavior, one of the operations in the originating process must have this re-entry route code entered in its Dynamic Routing Code property setting.
If no re-entry route code is entered here or the entered re-entry route code is not found assigned to a downstream operation, the reworked material will be returned to the very next operation after the one from which the dynamic routing process originated.
Note: To avoid arbitrary apportioning of rework quantities across multiple jobs for an operation, the system requires that there be only one job for the operation at which rework is returned into the originating routing.
