Timeout Errors During Initial Model Deployment or Data Updates

Error Description

The initial deployment of the MES BI Gateway model might have to retrieve large amounts of data from the MES database, especially if the MES database was recently upgraded. While retrieving the data, timeouts can occur within the WCF communication layer or in the SQL Query.

Reason

The amount of data requested by the BI Gateway service is not returned before the timeout expires.

Resolution

Follow the guidelines provided in Tech Note 453 for setting the various timeouts for WCF and SQL Server on the Knowledge and Support Center web site.
