Use general utilization attributes to configure parameters that control how MES entities log, manage, and interpret utilization events.
Set general utilization attributes on the General tab of the UCO Object Editor. These attributes influence utilization tracking, error handling, event logging, and operator interactions for equipment or process entities.
Specify values directly or use input sources, such as script expressions or references to other object attributes. Security and locking options control who can modify each attribute. For more information, see Configure UCO templates and instances.

The following general utilization attributes can be configured:
-
Default Raw Reason Code: Specifies the default reason when equipment status is unknown. For more information, see Default raw reason code.
-
Resume on Error: Specifies whether evaluation errors are ignored or halt processing. For more information, see Resume on error.
-
Alarm on Error: Enables or disables alarms for UCO-related errors. When enabled, set the alarm priority and configure custom alarm messages. For more information, see Alarm on error.
-
Spare Comments: Log additional context with utilization events. For more information, see Spare comments.
-
Log Utilization Events: Enables or disables automatic utilization event logging. For more information, see Log utilization events.
